Experience a Costa Rican Futbol Academy!
We are excited to announce an exclusive partnership between Pura Vida Elite Training & Costa Rican Academy, Futbol Consultants, to bring La Cantera athletes the unique opportunity to train + trial with a top developmental Academy in San José, Costa Rica.
International Prospects is PV's platform to expose committed La Cantera athletes to international styles of play + elite levels of competition. Each participating Cantera player will be fully integrated into FC Academy's team training and individually evaluated by FC Academy's Technical Director, Edson Soto, for potential selection to guest play with FC Academy in elite tournaments around the world. To provide a fully immersive experience, our Costa Rica Camps are limited to a maximum of 3x players per birth year.
Coach Edson Soto has won the U17, U20 & U21 National Championships with Deportivo Saprissa. As Assistant Coach for the Costa Rican National Team, Edson took the U-17s to the FIFA World Cup in Korea; the U-20s to the FIFA World Cup in Columbia and led the U-20s to a 4th place finish in the FIFA World Cup in Egypt. With a dynamic, possession-based style of futbol, Coach Edson and Futbol Consultants Academy are cultivating young talent and producing players for the Costa Rican National Teams and 1st Division Clubs internationally.
PV's Costa Rica Training Camps are highly customizable and available year-round. A minimum of 4 training days is required per camp. Training days consist of a technical training session in the morning and team training in the evening. Your per day Camp price includes training, accommodations, airport transfer (to/from), breakfast, private local transportation + three adventure activities to explore between trainings (lunches included on adventure days)! All prices are for "triple occupancy," meaning one player + up to 2 family members. No hidden fees or taxes.
You may design your camp to have a strictly futbol focus, or plan to play mejenga a la playa for a few days before heading home. - Medical/travel insurance??

If you want to train with the Ticos, but have your own dates in mind, just let us know. PV will help you plan. We welcome all Cantera athletes to enquire about our Tico Training Camps, but we will be pre-selecting those players who have achieved a level of technical development which will allow them to be successful in a challenging training environment. Selection for 2024/25 tournament play will be managed by FC Academy's coaching staff. 2-3 players per birth year will be selected for each tournament on the 2024/25 calendar. Vamos Ticos!
