LA CANTERA SEASONAL TRAINING

PLAYERS MAY ENROLL AS 'SEASONAL' MEMBERS FOR ANY OF PURA VIDA'S 'SEASONAL' TRAINING BLOCKS WHEN PROGRAM CAPACITY ALLOWS. 

 

La Cantera is Pura Vida's cost effective, holistic development model. La Cantera combines Technical, Performance, Futbol IQ & Mental Performance Training + Nutrition + Free Play.

Pura Vida's La Cantera Annual Membership features four distinct seasonal training blocks designed to drive individual development in concert with club soccer seasons. Our annual La Cantera training calendar consists of two blocks of Elite 6-player Group Training (summer + winter) and two blocks of Semi-Private Technical Training (Spring Flex + Fall Flex). During all seasonal training blocks, players train twice weekly, with each training session including an hour of Technical Training + an hour of Performance. 

 

Players may participate in La Cantera training as Annual Members (most cost effective) or as Seasonal Members.

 

PV's futbol-specific Performance Training is fully integrated with our Technical Training. Performance Training is at the core of La Cantera's curriculum. Performance builds a foundation of athleticism (power, strength, speed & mobility) & optimizes movement mechanics to accelerate the acquisition of technical skills, while mitigating athlete injury.​​

'Fall Flex' Block (Sept 4 - Oct 14):

Fall Flex is a 6-week, technique-intensive training block designed to compliment the increased training load & complex logistical demands of fall club & HS seasons. Flex Training Blocks offer total scheduling flexibility! You may book your 2x weekly semi-private sessions during any hour of operation - no need to hold down the same weekly time slots. With a reduced 3:1player-to-coach ratio, our on-field focus during Fall Flex is intensive individual technical skills. Pura Vida's Performance Training curriculum is highly periodized. The specific focus of Fall Flex Performance is maintenance, activation, recovery + injury prevention. Fall Flex is all about Peak performance during Peak season!

Winter Off-Season Training Block (Oct 16 - March 30):

The core of your La Cantera annual training calendar. Elite 6-player peer group training: 24 weeks. 2x weekly sessions. 2x hrs per session. Weekly makeups. Every training session includes 60 minutes of on-field, Technical Skill or Soccer IQ + 60 minutes Performance. This is where the big gains are made! Consistency is the single greatest driver of player development. La Cantera is a model designed to reward player consistency and produce a steep & steady growth curve, while always keeping it fun, sharing a passion for the game & enjoying the flavor of your futbol family at Casa Pura Vida! Start your Spring season fit & on fire!
