MEET COACH DIEGO RESTREPO:

Current Manchester City Womens + Wales National Team Goalkeeping Coach, Diego Restrepo brings 20+ years of Pro Goalkeeping experience, both as a player and coach, in the top Professional Mens + Womens leagues of Europe, South America + US.

As a college player, Diego was an All-American + National Champion at the UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA. As a pro, Restrepo played for top clubs like América de Cali (Colombia), Deportivo Táchira (Venezuela) + San Antonio FC during the 2017 season where Diego earned USL GK of the Year + shared the locker room with PV's own Head Coach Cesar Elizondo!

Coach Diego began his coaching career with AUSTIN FC's MLS NEXT PRO ACADEMY. Next, Restrepo served as Head of Goalkeeping for DC UNITED of the MLS, where he worked hand in hand with the legendary 'Chico Malo' Wayne Rooney!

The explosion of Women's Professional fútbol first brought Coach Diego to the NWSL as Head GK Coach for BAY FC, before catapulting him into the English Women's Super League + UEFA Women's Champions League with MANCHESTER CITY WOMEN'S First Team. Diego serves a parallel role as the current Head Coach of WALES SENIOR WOMEN'S NATIONAL TEAM.
